The upgrade is rolling out in stages, and it brings along the March 2019 Android security upgrade as well. Huawei brand Honor announced the rollout of Android Pie-based EMUI 9 upgrade for its Honor 8 Pro on its own India forums. The firmware version number for India is 220.127.116.11(C675E6R1P5). The size of this Honor 8 Pro Android Pie update is 3.49GB. Those who registered in the beta programme get an upgrade of only 343MB size. The upgrade is rolling out via over-the-air and users can check manually by heading to Settings >Around Phone >System Update.
The changelog implies that the Honor 8 Pro gets a new port, natural sound system, simplified preferences, AI thing recognition, smart shopping through AR scanning, and password vault. Additionally, it brings Huawei Share 3.0 that improves file transfer speed between the telephone, computer, and the printer. The update also makes launch times of hot programs quicker, and provides ViLTE support.
If you’re a non-beta user, we advise that you download the upgrade more than powerful Wi-Fi signs and while the telephone is on charge. Prior to updating, please make sure there is sufficient storage area for the update bundle on either the microSD card along with the internal storage before proceeding with the upgrade.
