Huawei could be gearing up to Leap to the premium TV segment Using an 8K 5G-enabled Version launching when this year.
The device would indicate Huawei’s entrance into this consumer electronics section but would strengthen its position in the 5G networking space and could serve to make a new category of TVs that are directly linked to high-speed cellular data networks. This type of device would also have the ability to be a connected hub for various services including media sharing, home automation, and safety.
According to a report in the Nikkei Asian Review, the Chinese telecommunications giant is now looking to be a world leader in the consumer device market, expanding its portfolio which currently includes notebooks, smartwatches, and of course smartphones. Huawei has demonstrated 5G products for the new flagship Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone, which now controls a eye-watering EUR 2,299(approximately Rs. 1,80,400 and taxes when it starts in India). The supposed 8K 5G-enabled TV would be a likewise superior product.
An ecosystem for 8K content will have to be developed, and as with 4K TVs several years ago, delivering such articles will probably be cumbersome at first. Integrated 5G can be a significant advantage to Huawei in preventing this situation.
Even though there isn’t any confirmation or projected release date yet, the Nikkei Asian Review considers that the Huawei 8K 5G TV could start by the end of 2019. It is not likely to be released widely around the planet for a long time, due to its cost and the availability of 5G service. Other specificationsas fundamental as display size, have never been reported yet.
