We have only got a fresh set of rumours which tips a number of the specifications that we may expect from Huawei’s upcoming flagship. The telephone is also thought to be available in a 4G and 5G version, the latter of which will establish in nations with ready 5G networks.
The report comes via a Chinese site new.qq.com, which claims the Mate 30 Pro could launch with a larger 6.71-inch OLED screen. The panel is expected to be curved from all sides and can be said to be supplied by BOE. Considering the P30 Pro (Review) along with the Mate 30 Pro had in-display fingerprint sensors, it is safe to assume that the Mate 30 Pro will also have an in-display fingerprint detector. It is still not clear when the phone will have a top notch or a hole-punch screen. If Huawei uses either one of the two options, then it will be interesting to see how it accommodates the depth sensor for face recognition.
The telephone will also most likely debut Huawei’s Kirin 985 SoC, which can be reportedly the successor for the HiSilicon Kirin 980 that is found at the current P30 Pro. It’s also said to have a”Baron 500 processor”, which will encourage 5G networks however, the phone are also offered in a 4G alternative. The book is probably referring to Huawei’s Balong 5000 5G modem, with Baron 500 most likely a mistranslation.
In terms of optics, the Mate 30 Pro is thought to have four cameras, exactly enjoy the P30 Pro. This piece of information contradicts an earlier rumour we had on the phone, which suggested it would have a penta-camera setup.
The Mate 30 Pro is also said to feature a 4,200mAh battery and also support for 55W quick charging. This is a bump up from the 40W fast charging that is present from the P30 Pro. The telephone can also be said to possess reverse wireless charging but this time, it is said to support 10W fast charging.
