This will enable users to get Android notifications on their Windows 10 PC. Launched in 2018, Your Telephone app formerly allowed users to view recent pictures taken on Android phone directly on a Windows 10 PC and to send SMS messages from a computer. Now, the Android alarms mirroring attribute is rolling out for all Windows Insider users at a gradual manner. Microsoft is expected to complete the rollout by July 9.
In a tweet, Microsoft declared via the Windows Insider handle the Your Telephone program will now encourage Android notifications on Windows 10 PCs. This means that as soon as you connect your Android phone with your Phone app, it will show notifications obtained on the phone, in your own PC too – in real-time.
Explaining how it works, Microsoft’s Director of Program Management, Vishnu Nath told Thurott.com”that Windows Insider users will basically have the ability to click to a notification from the phone, and it’ll mirror your phone’s screen on your computer and make it possible for you to take action right from that point. So for instance, if someone messages you WhatsApp, you can click on the notification and it’ll open up WhatsApp in your phone and mirror the phone screen on your PC, letting you answer to the message.” The report claims that support for quick answers has not been allowed yet but it is coming soon.
Microsoft notes the recent Windows 10 May 2019 upgrade also brought across the ability to attach emojis, GIFs, or images straight to your texts, as well as in-line reply to incoming messages. Users can also use the Your Telephone app to send and get deeplink URLs on your messages and see unread threads and messages. Users can now even save images directly with their PC from right-clicking on the picture.
